June 2025 edition The swim was in nice conditions, except that the water was at 25.5°C, meaning wetsuits were not allowed. The bike course is absolutely magnificent. You leave Nice and quickly head into the mountains, with stunning views over the Mediterranean before climbing into the hinterland. The route is a real mix of long, steady climbs, technical descents and fast sections through the mountains and small villages. The scenery is incredible, but the course is definitely demanding, especially when combined with the heat. In June 2025, it was extremely hot, with temperatures reaching around 41°C. The long descent back towards Nice is spectacular. The run is completely flat and takes place along the famous Promenade des Anglais. The course consists of four out-and-back sections towards the airport, which means you constantly see other athletes and benefit from the incredible atmosphere along the seafront. Aid stations are everywhere, with water, gels, fruit and plenty of opportunities to cool down. Overall, a magnificent race. Beautiful scenery, an iconic bike course, a great atmosphere and an amazing city. The heat made the 2025 edition particularly tough, but it was also an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended!
