Challenge Montréal is a middle-distance race set on the Île Notre-Dame Olympic park. Racing an F1 circuit on fully closed roads with a sheltered rowing-basin swim makes it one of the fastest urban courses in North America.
1.9 km swim in the Olympic Rowing Basin on Île Notre-Dame - flat, sheltered, non-wetsuit in warm years, with excellent visibility for sighting.
90 km on and around the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve Formula 1 track and Jacques-Cartier bridge approaches; closed roads, smooth tarmac, gently rolling with a handful of short bridge ramps.
21.1 km multi-loop run around Parc Jean-Drapeau and the island paths - flat, shaded in places and lined with spectators.
