Challenge Kaiserwinkl-Walchsee is a long-standing middle-distance classic in the Austrian Tyrol, combining a warm alpine lake swim, a rolling mountain bike course and a flat lakeside run.
1.9 km two-lap swim in the clean, warm Walchsee - one of Austria's warmest alpine lakes, usually around 21-23°C.
90 km rolling Tyrolean loop beneath the Kaiser mountains with steady climbs, fast descents and superb road surfaces.
21.1 km run on flat lakeside paths and village roads around the Walchsee, with a compact, atmospheric finish area.
Actual monthly averages from the last 3 years (Open-Meteo). Real race day may vary.
Water temp uses athlete-reported values first, then official race data, then the marine archive (sea swims, measured at the nearest offshore point). Values tagged est. are modelled from recent air temperature for lakes and rivers, where no observational data exists.
