The race

Challenge Canberra is a middle-distance race in Australia's capital. A city-centre lake swim, rolling closed parkways and flat lakeside running make it a well-balanced, fast course.

Course

SwimLake

1.9 km swim in Lake Burley Griffin in the heart of the capital - flat, fresh water, usually wetsuit-legal.

Bike450 m (1,476 ft) elev.

90 km rolling ride on closed parkways around the lake and through the Canberra hills; smooth surface with steady undulations rather than long climbs.

Run100 m (328 ft) elev.

21.1 km run on the lakeside paths past the National Museum and Parliamentary triangle - flat and fully off-road in places.
